Blood Donation Camp

​

The SSL organizes Blood Donation Camp every year which witnesses enthusiastic participation from a large number of donors. In addition to that, emergency blood requirements are met by vibrant cooperation of student community.

Evening Class

​

​

Evening class is one of the initiatives of social service league to help the underprivileged sections of the society. Through this programme volunteers of the SSL teach the kids of the Karamcharis- non-teaching staff -of the College and other underprivileged children from the areas surrounding College.

Parivartan

​

​

Parivartan wing of the SSL focuses on changes that can be made in the lives of needy people in the society. The activities include Skip a meal, medical camp etc.

We also conduct Cloth and Book donation camps.

Pragyachakshu

​

​

Pragyachakshu team of SSL arranges volunteers for visually challenged students for writing assignments, internal exams, reading their textbooks, scanning their textbooks as well as volunteers for writing university exams.  'Drishtikon' – a state level inter-college competition for visually challenged students – is conducted every year in the beginning of February.

New Year Party

The New Year Party is held in early January every year to acknowledge the invaluable service rendered to our college by our dear non-teaching staff. The entire Stephanian family comes together for an evening of fun, games, warmth, togetherness and love.

Rudra Dinner​​

 

Principal Rudra who died on 29 June 1925 left in his will the bequest for the Rudra Dinner to be held every year on 12 February. He selected this day for two main reasons: to commemorate his wife's death anniversary and also remember the birthday of his lifelong friend, C.F. Andrews. As a result, every year on February 12th  Rudra Dinner is organized to felicitate and thank the non-teaching staff of College and their families.

 

 

Visits

Volunteers of the SSL regularly visit orphanages and old age homes in and around Delhi to interact with the inmates of these institutions. 

PROJECTS

Vidyajyoti

​

Vidyajyoti is an initiative that focuses on providing holistic development to a group of 40 children belonging to financially backward families from a shackle in GTB Nagar, New Delhi. The project includes interactive classes on basic Math and English, extracurricular activities taken by student volunteers.
